This week both D and I have been puppied out. We’ve not been doing much in the evenings besides cooking, eating, and lounging. The Pup is making good sleep rather challenging, as we’re getting up multiple times per night to take him out for a pee.
I bought the book relating to the Pup, hoping they’re wrong about the length of the sleepless nights. However, it seems to be a good representation of what we are experiencing, so I don’t hold out hope for a good night’s sleep for the next few weeks. I like the book as it details facts about the breed plus anecdotes from experienced breeders, both in the UK and the US.
What I am currently struggling with professionally is finding a way to engage people during planning sessions. I have sat through (and complained about afterwards) many mind-numbing planning sessions in my career. However, I now feel like I am becoming the people I once loathed.
I’m struggling with this because I am unsure how to make these sessions more engaging. My Team Lead and I have tried many things, ranging from pre-planning planning to gamification - none seem to have worked so far. Besides continuing to set and execute our strategy, this will be one of my biggest challenges in the coming months.
In conclusion:
- Tired due to puppy
- Read a good book
- Need a plan for planning
